I am a second-year Master’s student supervised by Dr. Steven Heine. My research asks: why do people across cultures sometimes behave in remarkably similar ways, yet differ sharply in others? I examine how culture, history, and social systems shape the way people think, value, and behave. Using a range of methods, I study how broad social forces—such as institutions, economic systems, and historical change—become translated into individual psychology, and why the resulting patterns vary across societies and across time.
