I am an MA student interested in cultural and existential psychology. Humanity occupies a cultural niche – we evolved to develop and embody beautifully complex cultures which enable us to thrive in wildly diverse environments. Occupying the cultural niche means that humans live in an ecology of meaning and we embody these symbolic meanings in ourselves in order to better thrive in our cultures. Understanding the interplay between culture, self and meaning is what excites me!
